Exactly what I needed!.
I was tired of plugging my phone in every time just to use CarPlay, so I decided to try this Sysqs adapter and it works perfectly! Works on my 2016 Buick Lacrosse.
I started using this on my 2016 Buick Lacrosse Premium in July. The only thing I can say that would be at all critical was related to the firmware update that was required out of the box. Even then I’d really have to be more critical of myself than the unit though. Had I read the instructions closely the update would have been much easier and quicker. Just use the QR code on your smart phone and especially use a separate, constant power source, such as a laptop USB port. Sometimes in use the initial lock-on takes a bit longer than other times but I’ve reached the point where I know the internet music will start to play within a block or two of travel and phone calls and texts will all come in as they occur. Many/most of the quirks you may read about in other reviews are very possibly from smart phones and/or vehicles themselves, that would have occurred with usb cable connection as well. By the way, this also set up a separate car play vehicle on my iphone called CarPlayBox_xxxx, totally separate from the cable connection called Intellilink (in my case). I set up the CarPlayBox identically to Intellilink so there is a seamless transition between them. However, I haven’t used the Intellilink connection since July. This thing really does work pretty well so I only use the cable for charging now.
Not for motorcycles with infotainment systems..
This device is an excellent option for cars and SUVs. Its connection is fast. Great quality by the way. It does not work for motorcycles, including any Harley-Davidson with Boom Box GTS infotaintment system. Excellent customer service.
